Prof Dr Dagmar Monett is full Professor of Computer Science at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, HWR Berlin; Co-Founder of the AGI Sentinel Initiative, AGISI.org; an artificial intelligence (AI) expert at Ms.AI, ‘Artificial Intelligence for and with Women’; and Co-Director of the Competence Center Digitalization at the HWR Berlin. She has over 30 years of research and teaching experience in different countries. Her current research fields include AI, robotics, software engineering methods and techniques, and computer science education. Her most recent work focuses on intelligence research, particularly on defining and understanding both (machine) intelligence and its boundaries. Her previous scientific work addresses distributed AI, agents and multiagent systems, automatic differentiation, optimization and socionics. She has a BSc in Mathematical Cybernetics and an MSc in Computer Science from Havana University, and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Humboldt University of Berlin.

Andy Peart is CMSO of Artificial Solutions, an international business that “Makes Technology Think,” believing that people should be able to interact with technology intelligently, using their own voice, in their own terminology and across whatever channel they choose. Using a form of AI referred to as ‘Conversational AI’, Artificial Solutions allows people to talk to applications, websites and devices in a human-like, intelligent and conversational way. Its Teneo platform enables non-specialists to rapidly build and deploy enterprise strength, conversational applications and deliver customer insight and personalization using conversational data. Andy has over 25 years of marketing experience within the IT and natural language industry, successfully helping build innovative, technology-driven organizations.

Born in the Netherlands to two entrepreneurs, she grew up within her parents’ travel start-up. In her teens, she spent the summer peeling tulip bulbs with her friends at the local farm and, having first tried it at age 8, became an avid sailor.

In 2011, sailing (and tulips) were abandoned to study International Business instead. Putting theory into practice, she set up a non-profit NGO together with a friend, which shut down after 2 years due to difficulties in further scaling their operations. Switching gears, she then pursued a degree in Finance and Private Equity in London, where she was recruited out of the classroom.

In 2015, Stephanie started working at Columbia Lake Partners, a new venture debt fund. Here, she screened SaaS companies after raising the first institutional money and exercised her love for numbers in financial analyses and tailoring debt structures for new portfolio companies. She was introduced to multiple Notion portfolio companies during these years which led to a co-investment in Brightpearl and deep admiration for the operational expertise of the Notion team.

In 2018, Notion adopted her into their community of hard-working and fun colleagues. There, her role is to find disruptive tech companies with special focus on the Benelux and DACH region.

Prateek is a Senior Product Manager at Pluralsight, the leading technology skills development platform.

Since joining Pluralsight in 2018, he has led multiple initiatives to scale applied machine learning across the company. Previously he was a Product Manager at Oracle’s Adaptive Intelligent Applications team, a greenfield venture within Oracle using machine learning to add value to applications across the business including customer experience, human capital management, supply chain management, and enterprise resource planning.

Prateek started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Professional Services Consultant. He holds a Bachelor in Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati and a Master of International Business from Tufts University’s Fletcher School. When not working, he enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities – from rowing Boston’s Mystic River to being lost in the Indian Himalayan mountains.

Sarah Porter has launched 21 b2b and b2c technology products in 11 countries since 1996 and has a renowned reputation for taking ideas from concept to market with subsequent significant growth globally.

Emerging tech / AI / Medtech / Singularity / existentialism is where her core experience lies and she has over 20 years of commercial experience.

As a board executive for i2i events (parent company The Guardian Media Group / Apax – Ascential – previously Top Right Group) with the specific remit to rapidly grow the business whilst leveraging operational costs and prepare pre IPO. She sat on the i2i mergers and acquisitions committee identifying, analysing and approaching target businesses and accelerated growth by 22% within 12 months.

Achievements include the launch and acquisition of Money2020 – a leading fintech product. This included negotiation, 3 stage due diligence, its subsequent integration, and the long term geo-adaption into a global portfolio worth over $40m. The launch of World Retail Congress in 10 countries, the re-launch of Cannes Lions festival.

Sarah is a regular keynote speaker on start-ups, business and women / equality related issues and is an ambassador for the Royal Marsden where she champions the use of AI tech in oncology advances.

Roland Hallebeek has been in the industry of telecommunications, data and AI for years. He was the vice president of Telecom and Media at Capgemini, headed up various start-ups, led European AI Customer Engagement Management at IPsoft, and ran the Global Digital & Cognitive AI centre at EPAM systems.

He is the CEO and Co-founder of Scotty Technologies, which developed Scotty. Scotty is the voice and chatbot that automates and improves customer contacts via phone, chat and email, in any channel, language and 24/7.

Kristien is a Client Partner at Radix. Coming from a background in Linguistics and Literature, Kristien worked for five years as an AI consultant at IBM, helping clients build applications to help knowledge workers excel at their jobs.

Pedro Russo is University Professor in Astronomy & Society at Leiden University, the Netherlands. Dr. Russo was the global coordinator for the International Year of Astronomy 2009. Pedro was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany. Pedro is involved with several international organisations, like the International Astronomical Union, European Astronomical Society, Europlanet (European Planetology Network), the International Astronautical Federation. His work has received several awards, such as Seeds Special Award 2009, Scientix Best Educational Resource in 2015 and 2016, Most Innovative Educational Activities in 2017 and 2018 by HundrED and 2018 Leiden University’s K.J. Cath Prize.

Liam is the inventor of the ISS-Above, a single board computer device (a Raspberry Pi) that presents a rich set of live information about the ISS including live video views of the earth.  What started as a weekend project in 2013 to build a cool gizmo to inspire his own grandchildren has now been shipped to more than 3,500 locations around the world including private homes, schools, science centers and even at every NASA center nationwide.  Throughout a career in programming and live video streaming/video production, Liam has been passionate about astronomy and the perspective it gives humankind on our place in the Universe and how beautiful and fragile our Earth is. Previously President of the Orange County Astronomers, a Griffith Observatory Planetarium Lecturer and a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador, today Liam focuses on bringing the ISS into people’s daily lives, through public outreach, deployment of the ISS-Above into homes, schools and public spaces and spearheading projects to enhance our view of space exploration and of ourselves.

Janet Ivey is the creator and CEO of Janet’s Planet, Inc. as well as the president of Explore Mars. Ivey is a second round Citizen Astronaut Candidate for Space For Humanity, a NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador and an award-winning Science Educator. Janet has won 12 Regional Emmy Awards and 5 Gracie Allen Awards. Furthermore, Janet Ivey has been presented with the STEM-FLORIDA Award for Exploring Microgravity, a 35-minute documentary for students. Ivey has given two Tedx Talks, one on “AWE Inspired Science” and the other on “How To Inhabit Your Very Own Planet”. As well as being on the board of Governors for the National Space Society she is also guardian & shepherdess of the Next Generation of Space Explorers.

Chiara studies Global Project & Change Management at the Windesheim Honours College and is the Co-Founder of SDG 18 Space for All. Her interest in space began with the Overview Effect, and she is working on ways to incorporate the knowledge of space into education, trying to create a collective sense of responsibility.

Kartik is an aerospace engineer and planetary scientist with degrees from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He is cofounder of satsearch, the global marketplace for space.

Satsearch’s goal is to help space engineers find the right products & services on the global market for cutting-edge space missions. Satsearch is an ESA BIC Noordwijk alumnus, having completed the 2- year incubation program earlier this year.

Kartik has been involved in a number of space activities, including serving as co-National Point of Contact for the Netherlands under the Space Generation Advisory Council, participating in two Mars analog simulation missions as analog astronaut through the Austrian Space Forum, and working on Active Debris Removal technologies and missions as Experience Researcher through the FP7 Marie Curie ITN Stardust.

Dimitra is part of the International Institute of Air & Space Law of Leiden University and a PhD Candidate in Space Law. She holds an Adv. LL.M. in Air and Space Law from Leiden University, a Master in International Business Law from Tilburg University and a Bachelor in Law from the Law School of Athens.

She focuses on space data policies, cybersecurity and privacy in space activities, space resources governance, and is writing her PhD on the “Legal and Policy Aspects of Space Big Data”, with the support of the Netherlands Space Office and the European Space Agency. She attended the International Space University Space Studies Program in 2016 and has been lecturing on space law at ISU ever since.

She is member of several organizations, including the International Institute of Space Law, the European Centre for Space Law and the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Ruimtevaart, and regularly participates to international conferences.

Jerre is a well-seasoned Aerospace entrepreneur with a background in mechanical engineering. Before starting his own company, he worked at such companies as ESA ESTEC and Fokker (now GKN Aerospace). After working 13 years in industry he started his own company Stellar Space Industries B.V.(SSI).

Maneesh Kumar Verma is the current Team Leader & Head of Operations of Lunar Zebro team at Delft University of Technology.

He is pursuing his aerospace engineering degree at TU Delft and for the past nine years worked at Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering (DARE) where he was involved in building and launching rockets like Aether, Stratos II+ and CanSat V7 and lead the DARE Structures group for three years and the society as its President in 2014. During that time, he also got involved with space rovers and along with Dr. Chris Verhoeven established the Zebro Project, a six-legged rover in 2013 and lead the team till 2015 and re-joined the group in 2017 for Lunar Zebro. He holds a researcher position at TU Delft for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and swarm technology where is he is the principle researcher for LUFAR (LUnar low Frequency ARray)

Maneesh, at present, leads the robotics division at Stellar Space Industries in Leiden and is the Regional Manager (India) for Hyperion Technologies, Delft.

His primary expertise lies in space systems engineering and has experience with robotics applications i.e. security, payloads, and space (nanosatellites, launchers and rovers).

Saviër is an Events Manager, Entrepreneur, and future Engineer. He is currently studying Aerospace Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. You can wake up Saviër in the middle of the night to have food, go for a swim, or play a game of chess. His goal is to motivate and boost innovations in the Aerospace sector and to host the very first ‘festival’ in space!

Bart Smits is a student, rocket engineer and education creator on a path to bring more hands-on and aim-high education programs to the young masses.

As team-leader of Education Group in the student rocketry society DARE he is responsible for many new projects including ‘de Raketbouwers’, a rocket workshop for elementary school children.

Always aiming to expand both DARE’s and his personal involvement in good education, he utilizes the cool-factor of rockets to teach about the importance of making our future with our own hands.

Jasper Wamsteker has been working in the space scene for 20 years already, with a passion for bringing across the fascination for space to the general public and to students and schoolkids. In 2009 he took up duty as Head of Communication and Education of the Netherlands Space Office. The last three years he was Chair of the Advisory Committee on Education of the European Space Agency.

I am Tim Guezen, a 17 year old student at Kaj Munk College. I’m in 6VWO with a NT & NG profile. I have been interested in Space and Technology since I was 7. I’ve participated in the Young Solar Challenge and the CanSat competition, both are national technology competitions. After middle school i’d like to study Aerospace engineering at TU Delft.

Hello I’m Jop Stolk. I’m seventeen years old and I’m in the last year of pre university school. After graduating my goal is to study Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University Delft. Our school, Kaj Munk College, offered the opportunity to participate in technical projects. I have participated for two years with team Ceilingboat in the Young Solar and last year I have participated with team Suzy in the CanSat Competition. I hope in the future I can be part of more of these projects. However passing my exams is the first goal right now.

Prachi Sachdeva graduated from TU Delft with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering specialized in Telecommunications, and currently works as a Technical Consultant at Alten. She is passionate about technology and is driven by its impact on society, and volunteers at Lunar Zebro in the role of the Partner Relations Manager. In her free time, she likes to read and learn new languages.

Jillian Oduber is currently a Chief Engineer at the Lunar Zebro project at the Delft University of Technology. The Lunar Zebro is a nano Moon rover that is mainly being developed by students. Jillian is leading the team of engineers that are working on the Qualification Model of the rover named Strelka, which will go for testing to be qualified for the Moon in the coming months. She is originally from the small Caribbean island of Aruba, and moved to Delft in 2016 to study Aerospace Engineering. Having just finished her Bachelor, she has taken a year off of her studies to work full time at Lunar Zebro.
